MAPS - Building 27

• Building 27 is actually the combination of several different buildings. These include some which date back to the earliest days of the School (e.g. the doorway visible in the photograph was originally the main entrance to the Chemistry Department), all the way through to 21st century research laboratories.

• The building houses a wide range of School activities - including Workshops (Mechanical and Glassblowing), Teaching (Lecture Theatres) and Research.

• See how the University looked (c.1955) - Notice that there is no sign of B29/30/30a and that B27 only has two levels at this period.
