Staff Student Liaison Committee

The role of the SSLC is to create a dialogue between students and academic staff, with the specific intention to consider issues that can improve the student experience, and refer these issues to the relevant personal if appropriate. It is also there to record and feedback responses to any issues raised by students.

The Chemistry UG Information Blackboard folder (- look for the 'Chemistry UG Information' link under "My Courses") also provides feedback for each specific module, specific past exam papers and general exam feedback. Information regarding the complaints process and transition between years is also included. In addition the site also lists each year's prize winners.

The SSLC committee is co-chaired by a staff representative and by the current student Academic President (Chemistry). Membership also includes Lab Managers, Year Tutors and two Student Reps for each year group.

Year 1 Student Reps are elected halfway through the year, with the remaining Students Reps being elected at the start of the academic year.
