Using Excel - Other Versions

The Excel Web Tutorials on this site provide instructions for using Excel 2003 (for Windows), Excel 2010 (for Windows) and Excel 2013 (for Windows).

Below are instructions and information on using other Excel versions.

Office Online
Most procedures can be carried out by following the "Using Excel 2013" instructions. However this version of Excel does not include the Analysis ToolPak which means the Data Analysis procedures cannot be performed. For details of procedures that "may" enable you to perform the equivalent of the Data Analysis "Descriptive Statistics" and "Regression" procedures (using this version of Excel) - See the Using Excel - Data Analysis Issues page.

Excel 2013 for RT
Most procedures can be carried out by following the "Using Excel 2013" instructions. However this version of Excel do not include the Analysis ToolPak which means the Data Analysis procedures cannot be performed. Note: In addition you should be aware that Office 2013 RT does not support Macros, Add-Ins, Forms, Data Models or Equation Editor 3. Excel 2011 for Mac & Excel 2008 for Mac
Most procedures can be carried out by following the "Using Excel 2010" instructions. However Excel 2008 & 2011 do not include the Analysis ToolPak which means the Data Analysis procedures cannot be performed. Excel 2007 for Windows
Most procedures can be carried out by following the "Using Excel 2010" instructions.

Excel 2004 for Mac, Excel 2002 for Windows & Excel 2000 for Windows
Most (including Data Analysis) procedures can be carried out by following the "Using Excel 2003" instructions.'
