An outlier is a single point that does not fit in with the rest of the data (which is consistent with each other).

Note: Outliers should be excluded when analysing or determining quantites from experimental data. That this has been done must be recorded in the report and where possible an explanation for the outlier (e.g. overshot titration end-point) should be included.

Concentration-time data for three species (A, B and C) has been plotted below.
