What should I do if...

I know well in advance, that for a valid reason, I am going to miss a lab session?

I know well in advance that I am going to be away on the day when my lab report is due for submission?

• You will be expected to make arrangements to ensure that the report has been handed in by the submission deadline, i.e. in all likelihood this will mean that you will need to submit the report early.
• Note 1: The submission deadline is the latest you may submit a report (without penalization); there is no constraint/penalty on submitting reports as early as you wish.
• Note 2: Reports that are submitted late will have a deduction in marks applied, with the size of the reduction rising in proportion to the time beyond the submission deadline. Reports more than five working days late will not be accepted (i.e. will receive a mark of zero).

It's immediately prior to (i.e. that day or the day before) my lab session and I realise that I am not going to be able to attend?

I have missed a lab session and have not yet informed the relevant parties of the reason for my absence?

I have missed (or will miss) a submission deadline due to an absence/illness between performing the practical and the deadline?
